COOK:  Slice turmeric root and let it steep in hot water with cinnamon & mint for a soothing tisane or juice the root & add it to doughs, drinks or batter. 

TIPS: The dried spice is more potent in its health benefits, but the fresh root is best for drink applications where you do not want the powdery texture.
