This is our idea of a simple home chai. No brewing or cooking, just straight out of a kettle.
makes 2 cups
- In two mugs, put a tea bag, 6 almonds, 2 slices of ginger and 1 tsp of honey each.
- Pour boiling water over each cup leaving some space at the top for milk. Let it steep for 3 minutes.
- Remove the tea bag & pour 1 Tbsp of milk into each cup. At this point, leave the ginger in our take it out. Leaving it in will continue to increase ginger flavor.
- After the tea is gone, peel the almonds, discard the peel and eat the almonds.
